Small company in midtown Manhattan is seeking to build the an application that has the following key attributes:
- our clients will go to a website and create a profile
- once a profile is created the user will be creating a "watch list" - names of people, organizations, industries, etc (by as text as well as by selecting options from a taxonomy we will create)
- the users will then receive an email "alert" from us when any of the people or organizations on their watch list registers for our events.
- so the database will need to search on a continuous basis, our event database
our goal is to offer a user experience similar to how Google Alerts works, but on a smaller scale. the data for the database to search is our proprietary database, which currently has about 30K records and grows at a rate of about 10K records per year

This is a part time, contractor position, but you need to be local to NYC for face to face meetings
